The Jaunty Jarbalonians Red Hat Group met at Homer’s Drive-In on Saturday in Leavenworth. It is probably the oldest eating establishment in Leavenworth, going back to 1931. Those attending were Jane Turner, Linda Barry, Betty Clark, Lynn Paul and Thamar Barnett.

Enjoy the Kansas Summer Nationals hot rod truck and tractor pull at 7 p.m. Saturday on the Threshing Bee grounds in McLouth. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for kids ages 6-11 $10. Kids 5 years and under can enter for free. Seating is limited, so bring your lawn chairs.
