Summer bingo Saturday

Sacred Heart Catholic Church will have its summer bingo starting at 5:45 p.m. Saturday at the church, U.S. Highway 24-40 and West Washington Street in Tonganoxie.
A taco bar and pizza will be offered starting at 5:45 p.m. Bingo begins at 6:30 p.m.
Guests can play one card all evening for $10 or purchase individual cards.
Blackout will be the last game of the evening with the chance to win $100. There will be roughly 25 games with four prizes per game. Refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
