- Tonganoxie High’s fall sports season is officially in the books, and what a season it was. Whether it was on the football field, the soccer field, the volleyball court or the cross country course, success wasn’t hard for Chieftain teams to find in 2012. I think I speak for the whole Tonganoxie community when I say the last few months have been a blast.

- Jeff Frank II hung up his football pads when he graduated from Tonganoxie High in 2006, but he knew he wasn’t ready to get away from the thrill of competition. As it turns out, the former Chieftain lineman’s desire to return to the heat of battle led him away from the gridiron and into the weight room.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
