The Jaunty Jarbalonians Red Hat Group had a Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 12 at the home of Linda Barry in Leavenworth. Those there were Lynn Paul, Jane Turner, Robin Kern, Betty Clark and Thamar Barnett.

Last season, the Tonganoxie High girls basketball team proved that youth didn’t have to define a season. The Chieftains will field a slightly older squad in 2012-13, and they’ll try to translate their increased experience into increased success on the hardwood.

When the Tonganoxie High boys basketball team takes the court for the first time this season, it will do so with a starting lineup that barely resembles that of 2011-12. With six players lost to graduation and several new additions to this year’s roster, changes will be evident at nearly every turn.
