Jarbalo Jottings

The Jaunty Jarbalonians Red Hat Group had a Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 12 at the home of Linda Barry in Leavenworth. Those there were Lynn Paul, Jane Turner, Robin Kern, Betty Clark and Thamar Barnett.

Jarbalo United Methodist Women met at 24-40 Roadside Cafe in Basehor on Nov. 16 for their November meeting. A short business meeting took place before the meal. Those attending were members Rosie Oelschlaeger, Marilyn Oxley, Peachez Joles, Frances Jeannin, Faye Cleavinger and Thamar Barnett. Guests were Christine Black, Helen McBroom, Betty Smith, Marge Zacharias, Ron Joles and granddaughter Ryan Workman, George and Elaine Onasch and Joe and Bobbie Immell.

Jarbalo United Methodist Church will have its Hanging of the Greens at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The Gateway Club of Leavenworth will be at Jarbalo United Methodist Church from 3 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 9. Their bell choir will perform and former pastor Alice Purvis will have a group that will entertain. Santa will visit and there will be refreshments.
