Linenberger: Meet us at the library

By Shawn Linenberger - | Nov 27, 2012

It’s a busy time of year with all the holiday preparations, school programs and more.

But Thursday evening, if you have a little time, I’d love to chat with you.

The Mirror is teaming up with the Tonganoxie Public Library for an opportunity for our newspaper readers to meet with sports editor Justin Nutter and me Thursday in the library’s community room.

We’ll have coffee and hot tea available, as well as some cookies. You know, because you haven’t had much in the way of sweet goodness during the holiday season.

We’ll be at the library from 7-8 p.m. and will be there to discuss any thoughts you have about the newspaper.

Are there areas of the community you think need more attention in coverage?

Stop by the library and let us hear your concerns.

Do you want to know more about how the newspaper is put together each week, including how it goes from laying pages out on computer to ending up in print edition form in your driveway?

Pay a visit to the library and we’ll be happy to give you a tutorial.

Have some story ideas about which I should know?

Head on over to the library and fill us in on those suggestions.

Does your cupboard need a Tonganoxie Public Library coffee mug?

Be sure to visit us at the library and you might leave with a new mug.

Library director Kelly Fann has offered to give away coffee mugs during the gathering, so be sure to swing by for some coffee and a chat with us.

I look forward to seeing you at the library.

And if you can’t make it Thursday, I’d be happy to chat with you by phone, 913-845-2222 or email at slinenberger@theworldco.info. You also can “like” our Facebook page, facebook.com/TonganoxieMirror.

Talk to you soon, neighbors.
