THS soccer schedule altered, volleyball to host sub-state

The Tonganoxie High boys soccer game schedule for Oct. 9 at Maur Hill-Mount Academy (Atchison) has been rescheduled for Oct. 8 at home. The Chieftains now have three remaining home games, including Thursday against Bishop Ward and Oct. 18 against Leavenworth.
THS volleyball to host sub-state
The Chieftain volleyball team will play host to seven schools on Oct. 20 for sub-state competition. The tournament field is comprised of Basehor-Linwood, Bonner Springs, De Soto, Eudora, Bishop Ward, Piper and Sumner Academy. Seedings will be announced on Oct. 17.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
