City, USD 464 form committee
October 9, 2012
Tonganoxie City Council and USD 464 met Monday for their respective regular meetings, but they will be joining forces to form a committee looking at future infrastructure.
The Tonganoxie school board appointed member Gene Becker to be on the committee, while city council member Jim Truesdell will be the city’s representative. Mike Spickelmier, engineer and director of Leavenworth County Public Works, also will be on the committee.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
