Warrior football ends season against Lansing

The Tonganoxie Middle School football teams wrapped up their seasons on Oct. 16 against Lansing.
The Warrior seventh-graders picked up a 36-6 win at home to finish the year at 4-3. Zac Morgan opened scoring with a touchdown run, then Isaiah Frese found Gad Huseman for a two-point conversion. Frese later hooked up with Patterson Starcher to make it 14-0.
Caden Searcy added a touchdown run, Frese found Morgan for two more points, then Huseman broke free for another score. Cody Reynolds scored the Warriors’ final touchdown on a pass from Frese, then Frese capped off scoring when he ran in for another conversion.
The TMS eighth-graders dropped a 42-0 decision at Lansing. They ended the season with a 1-6 record.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
