By Justin Nutter - | Jan 16, 2013

Following last weekend’s strong showing at the Bobcat Classic, the Tonganoxie High wrestling team is back in the state rankings. The Chieftains checked in at No. 7 in the most recent Class 4A poll, released Tuesday by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association.

THS, which finished ninth at the Bobcat Classic, has four wrestlers present in the individual ranks. Clayton Himpel, a mainstay in the polls this season, is currently the second-ranked wrestler at 120 pounds. Julius Coats (195) and Thomas Miller (220) are each ranked No. 3 in their respective classes, while Asher Huseman (152) is ranked No. 6.

Coach Jeremy Goebel’s squad will be back in action at 9:30 a.m. Saturday when it travels to Holton for the Gerald Sadowski Inviational.
