Tonganoxie Rec Commission Easter egg hunt is March 23

The Tonganoxie Recreation Commission will have its annual Easter egg hunt at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Chieftain Park.
Egg hunting will be divided among three age divisions: infant to 2, 3-5 and 6-8.
More than 5,000 plastic eggs will be placed throughout the park.
Face painting and a bounce house also will be offered at the event. The Easter Bunny also is expected to make an appearance.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
