Basehor Dairy Days set for Saturday

The eighth annual Basehor Dairy Days festival is Saturday, and families can expect a day full of fun.

Starting at 8 a.m. at Basehor City Park, the events continue until late afternoon. Scheduled activities are:

• 8 a.m.-10:30 a.m.: Chris Cakes pancake breakfast

• 10 a.m.-noon: Music Makers and Song Tales Sing-Along

• 11 a.m.: Gunsmoke and Petticoats Old West Show

• Noon: Sarah’s Studio of Dance performance

• 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.: The Rhythmia, ragtime band

• 1 p.m.: Gunsmoke and Petticoats Old West Show

• 2-3 p.m.: White Tiger Performance Group

• 3 p.m.: Gunsmoke and Petticoats Old West Show

The Gunsmoke and Petticoats Old West Show is sponsored by First State Bank and Trust.

Ongoing activities between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. include:

Kansas Lions Mobile Health Screening Unit mobile dairy classroom and live cow, pie-baking contest, face painting, petting zoo, food vendors, inflatables, carnival games, Cowtastic Round Up, pony rides, Milk Cans on Parade, craft vendors, toddler playground and displays of dairy memorabilia.
