Tonganoxie Invitational begins Monday

Tonganoxie High will host one of the state’s longest running basketball tournaments next week when the Tonganoxie Invitational returns to returns for its 55th year. Games will begin at 1 p.m. Monday and continue throughout the week in the THS east gymnasium.

Starting a new legislative session during an election year and with a state Supreme Court ruling on school finance expected any day, Gov. Sam Brownback on Wednesday said his conservative Republican policies have helped lift Kansas from the Great Recession.
