THS baseball splits with Cyclones

Thursday at the Leavenworth County Fairgrounds, the Tonganoxie High baseball team opened its season against one of the top teams in the state. For all but one inning, it showed why players and coaches have high expectations for the coming months.

Kansas labor officials say the state’s unemployment rate increased in February to a seasonally adjusted 4.9 percent, up from 4.8 percent in January. That’s the third consecutive month the rate has been below 5 percent.
