The McLouth High boys and girls basketball seasons have concluded. Competing in a play-in game for a Class 2A sub-state basketball tournament, the MHS lost to Heritage Christian Academy from Olathe, 40-38, Saturday afternoon in Olathe.
Chietain wrestlers snag wins, build for future in at Salina

The Tonganoxie High wrestling team was able to make a little bit of noise at this year’s Class 4A state wrestling tournament. The Chieftains, who sent six teams to the tournament, had two wrestlers win their first matches — freshman Patterson Starcher in overtime, 6-2, in the 113-pound division and freshman Gad Huseman, 7-3, in his opening round match at 126.

The Tonganoxie High girls basketball team heads into the postseason with a bit of momentum. THS won an exciting game with a 57-55 road victory Thursday against Ward in Kansas City, Kan. Tonganoxie once led by 13 points, but a 13-0 Ward run changed the game dramatically.
