Spay/Neuter Pick up

Leavenworth County Humane Society will have a pick-up July 14 for the Linwood area for spaying and neutering cats and dogs. The pets will be transported from 310 Main St. to Spay & Neuter KC where they will be spayed or neutered and receive their vaccinations. Only 12 slots will be available on this transport, and you have to reserve your spot by emailing LvnCoHS@live.com. It’s a same-day service with drop-off between 7-8:30 a.m. and pick-up from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

City News

Planning for the 150th city celebration continues with the next meeting for the 2017 Sesquicentennial celebration on 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at City Hall.

The city will have a website up and running beginning July 6. You can find it on the web at www.cityoflinwood.org. It won’t allow online payments or credit/debit cards, but the website will be full of information about the city.

Magic at the Library

Summer Reading continues with the Eric Vaughn Magic Show this Thursday at 1 pm. Eric brings fun tricks that will entertain the whole audience young and old!

Library deadline

Reminder: Summer Reading logs and bingo sheets will need to be turned in no later than July 30th by participants to receive prizes.
