Family: Husband, Graham. The couple has been married two years.
Occupation: Human resource business partner at Kansas University Medical Center. Neeland has been employed there since 2007.
Dream job as a child: Veterinarian
Interesting fact: Neeland was part of Emporia State University’s first women’s soccer team and the first women’s NCAA Division II soccer team in Kansas. ESU started its women’s soccer program in 2001.
Digging deeper: Neeland grew up in Topeka and graduated from Topeka West High School.
After graduating high school, she attended Emporia State University to pursue a bachelor’s in business administration and play soccer.
Neeland met her husband while attending Emporia State. They moved to the Kansas City area after they graduated.
The couple lived in Overland Park and Lenexa before deciding to buy a house in Tonganoxie.
Graham grew up in Great Bend and wanted the “small town” feel with the close conveniences of the city. That is how the couple ended up in Tonganoxie.
In her spare time, Neeland said, her “hobby” is participating in the SHRED program at Free State Fitness in Tonganoxie.
