Marilyn Oxley was voted in as director of the Fall Creek Cemetery Association for a three-year term at a meeting March 12.

Others on the board are Ron Joles, secretary, and Jackie Schwinn, treasurer.

There will be a clean-up day starting at 9 a.m. April 9 at the cemetery. The rain date is April 16. A memorial service will be May 29.

Jarbalo United Methodist Women met March 18 at the church. The Rev. Larry Grove opened with a prayer. Six members answered roll call and reported 49 care calls.

There was correspondence from Alpha Christian Children’s Home and prayer sister for our unit, Linda Prather, and an invitation to a tea at 1 p.m. April 21 at High Prairie Church.

Banks for prayer and self-denial were passed out to be returned at the April meeting. Frances Jeannin read the stories “Satan’s Tools,” “All Ears” and “Never Alone.”

The Jaunty Jarbalonians Red Hat Society group had lunch March 19 at Talette’s Cafe. Those there were Jane Turner, Lynn Paul, Betty Clark and Thamar Barnett.
