Acrobats coming to library

The Rosetta Sisters will bring their acrobatic show to the Linwood Library on Thursday the 8th at 6:30 p.m. The program will showcase circus skills including acrobalance. Audience members will have a chance to learn some neat tricks following the show. This is an outdoor program behind the library. There will be seating, but you can also bring your own.


Friends of Linwood Library to have annual meeting

The Friends group is holding their annual meeting Sept. 13. This meeting is important because elections for officer positions will be held that night. There will also be discussion and planning in regards to the upcoming book and DVD sale on Oct. 6-8.

Lawrence author to visit library

Cote Smith, Lawrence-based author of the novel “Hurt People,” will come Sept. 15 to visit the Linwood Community Library for a book discussion and question-and-answer session. Books are available for check-out inside the library. The book has garnered strong reviews, and it has a local connection with the setting being Leavenworth.
