League of Kansas Municipalities membership fees aproved for 2021

Tonganoxie City Council members signed off on membership in the Leauge of Kansas Municipalities for another year. The total fee is just below $3,120.
Mobile generator, electrical work approved at regular meeting

The council approved the purchase of a lift station mobile generator from CK Power for $59,927 and preparations for connection of the generators to the lift stations from Capital Electric Construction for $11,990. Both were low bids.

Tonganoxie’s new City Council Chambers still look to be on course to host the first in-person council meeting since last winter. City Manager George Brajkovic told the council during Monday’s virtual meeting that there were some hiccups on the IT front earlier Monday, but he anticipated the city to still be on schedule to have its next regular meeting in the larger space at Third and Bury streets.
Tonganoxie school district returns to in-person learning

In-person learning in Tonganoxie USD 464 returned Tuesday. The school district suspended in-person learning in November amid rising COVID-19 numbers and limited staff due to pandemic quarantine protocols, challenges that affected districts statewide as an unprecedented 2020 pushed to its final weeks.
