- Tonganoxie High girls soccer ushered in a new era with a victory Tuesday.
THS defeated Atchison, 4-1, at Beatty Field in the season opener.
It also marked the first win for Michael Barnes, who was named the new girls soccer coach back in January. He also will take over the boys program in the fall.
Tonganoxie continues the season with a 6 p.m. match Thursday at Spring Hill.

- Tonganoxie High softball will have to wait a little longer to open the 2021 season.
Recent rains have forced cancellation of Thursday’s doubleheader against Turner at the Leavenworth County Fairgrounds.

- McLouth USD 342 has released its academic lists for the third quarter.
To be named to the Principal’s Honor Roll, students must carry a grade-point average of 4.0 or higher. Gold list members must have a GPA from 3.5-3.99, while Purple list members must carry a GPA of 3.0-3.49.
