Asa Kesinger 1918 - 2009 Lawrence

Services for Asa Kesinger, 90, Lawrence, will be Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie.
Burial will follow in Hubbel Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Quisenberry Chapel.
Mr. Kesinger died July 7, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 24, 1918 in Tonganoxie, the son of Vernon and Emma (Pellman) Kesinger. He was a dairyman and farmer who worked for Sunflower Army Ordinance Plant in De Soto in 1948, he worked for General Motors, Ornamental Iron Works, Bonner Springs and Rawlings Feed Store. He was a member of the Tonganoxie United Methodist Church. He married Amelia Fryhofer on April 16,1949, in Olathe. She preceded him in death Dec. 18, 1999.
Survivors include; one son, Wayne Kesinger, Tonganoxie; one daughter, Marilyn Robbins, Tonganoxie; one sister, Darlene Jones, Lawrence; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
