Asa Kesinger

Services for Asa Kesinger, 90, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11, at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Kesinger died Tuesday July 7, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 24, 1918, in Tonganoxie, the son of Vernon and Emma (Pellman) Kesinger.
Mr. Kesinger was a dairyman and farmer and worked for Sunflower Army Ordnance Plant in De Soto; he also worked for General Motors, Ornamental Iron Works, Bonner Springs, and Rawlings Feed Store. He was a member of Tonganoxie United Methodist Church.
On April 16, 1949, he married Amelia Fryhofer in Olathe. She died Dec. 18, 1999.
Survivors include a son, Wayne, Tonganoxie; a daughter, Marilyn Robbins, Tonganoxie; a sister, Darlene Jones, Lawrence; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Quisenberry Chapel, Tonganoxie.
