James "Mark" Weinberg 1952 - 2009 Bonner Springs
A celebration of life picnic for James “Mark” Weinberg, 57, Bonner Springs, will be at 7 p.m. Friday, June 26, at VFW Memorial Park in Tonganoxie.
Mr. Weinberg died peacefully Thursday, June 18, 2009, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on May 27, 1952, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of James R. and G. Maxine (Gabbert) Weinberg.
Mr. Weinberg managed several auto parts stores in Kansas and Colorado until serious health problems forced him to retire in January.
He married Olga Fedorovna on July 15, 2000, in Steamboat Springs, Colo. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Julia Piskunova; his stepmother, Betty Weinberg; two sisters, Kathy Guenther and her husband, Tony, and Carrie Waun and her husband, John; a stepbrother, John Shepherd; a stepsister, Joyce Templeton; and two grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Mark Weinberg Medical Fund, sent in care of Armed Forces Bank, P.O. Box 3400 Fort Leavenworth, KS 66027
