Ambrose "Dutch" F. Seifert 1925 - 2009

A memorial Mass for Ambrose "Dutch" F. Seifert, 84, Basehor, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Basehor.
Mr. Seifert died Friday Oct. 16, 2009, at his home.
He was born March 15, 1925, in Greeley, Kan.
Mr. Seifert served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 1987.
He married Teresa M. Bussell on Aug. 25, 1947, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Fredonia. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include seven children, Barbara (Larry) Easter, Tonganoxie, Brenda (LeRoy) Chadwick, Freeman, Mo., Bonnie Banks, Olathe, Mike Seifert, Illinois, Terrie (Lorin) Phipps, Merriam, Cindy (Gary) Chadwick, Sapulpa, Okla., and Alfred Seifert, Germany; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Joseph and Paul Seifert, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday prior to the Mass at the church.
The family suggests memorials to St. Jude’s Hospital or Sunflower Health Care, sent in care of Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.
