Donald Carbaugh 1933 - 2010 Lawrence

Services for Donald Carbaugh, 77, Lawrence, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at Mustard Seed Fellowship, 700 Wakarusa Dr., Lawrence.
Mr. Carbaugh died Monday Aug. 9, 2010, at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
He was born June 1, 1933, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Lester and Minnie Stewart Carbaugh. He graduated from Tonganoxie High School and worked in maintenance for Hallmark Cards, Lawrence, until his retirement in 1997. He married Estella “Joan” Guinn Sept. 28, 1952. They raised their children on a buffalo farm north of Lawrence and moved south of Lawrence in 1968. Don enjoyed many interests. He was often found fixing equipment and motors for others. He was a member of the Square Delights Square Dance Club, Lawrence. He loved farming, camping, fishing and hunting. In his later years, Don restored tractors.
Survivors include his son, Kevin Carbaugh, Cheyenne, Wyo.; two daughters, Vicki Bradford, Madison, Wis., and Donna Baker, Baraboo, Wis.; his brother Wayne (Darlene) Carbaugh, Basehor; three sisters, Betty (James) Elmer, Tonganoxie, Mildred Crouse, Lansing, and Irene Taylor, Independence, Mo.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his dear friend and caregiver, Twila Higgins, Lawrence, and her three children and six grandchildren.
