Clarence Paul Seaver 1920 - 2010 Lawrence

Services for Clarence Paul Seaver, 90, Lawrence, formerly of McLouth, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at McLouth United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at McLouth Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Seaver died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010.
He was born May 30, 1920, in Newton, the son of J.W. James William and Saide Glover Seaver.
He was a 1940 graduate of McLouth High School and was a proud U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Corps of Engineers and Medical Corps. He was a farmer and stockman in McLouth for many years and had worked 16 years as a shop foreman at Kansas University Drama and Theater Department in Lawrence, where he medically retired in 1980. He and his wife, Lucy, developed, owned and operated the “Cher Lu” Country Store at Lake Perry from 1969-74. He was a member of the McLouth United Methodist Church and Perry United Methodist Church.
He married Lucy Elizabeth Kell on June 1, 1940, in McLouth.
His wife survives, of the home. He also is survived by a daughter, Cheryl E. Wonnell, Lawrence; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, William A. Seaver, Kimberling City, Mo.; four sisters, Lena Thompson, Ozark, Mo., Frances Sink, Gardner, Darlene Overbaugh, Tonganoxie, and Charlene Snell, Topeka. He was preceded in death by an infant brother.
