Services for Patricia Joann Swallow, 74, Conroe, Texas, formerly of Tonganoxie, will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 10 at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie.
Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Leavenworth.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Swallow died Tuesday, May 4, 2010.
She was born Feb. 8, 1936, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Herbert and Kitty (Glover) Link. She was an accountant for Hays Utilities, Spring, Texas. Her husband, James L. Swallow, preceded her in death in 1990.
She is survived by two sons, Tim, Columbus, Texas, and Chris, Allen, Texas; a sister, Sherrill Hathcoat, Parkville, Mo.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
