Rosemary Gonser
Services for Rosemary Gonser, 65, Clay Center, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 2, at First Presbyterian Church, 602 Clarke St. in Clay Center. Rev. Doug Wallace will officiate.
Burial will be in Idana Cemetery, Idana, Kan.
Mrs. Gonser died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center.
She was born Dec. 28, 1945, in Clay Center, the daughter of Roy and Helen (Rock) Cowing.
Mrs. Gonser was raised in Clay Center and graduated from Clay Center Community High School. She married Bruce Gonser on Oct. 20, 1963.
She worked as a nursing home administrator for 33 years and was currently employed at Pinnacle Park in Salina. Mrs. Gonser also was a member of the Christian Church in Clay Center. She is preceded by a brother, Brian.
Survivors include her husband, of the home in Clay Center; son Kelly (Dianne) Gonser, Leavenworth; daughter, Michelle (John) Strome, Manhattan; brother, Denis Southerland, Gainesville, Texas; five grandchildren; and a stepsister, Valerie Thatcher, Green.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, 918 Seventh St., Clay Center, KS 67432.
