Services for Paul Francis Logsdon, 83, Linwood, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Liberty Church in Brownstown, Ill.
Mr. Logsdon died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born June 13, 1928, in Canton, Mo., the son of Francis and Louella (Fishback) Logsdon.
Mr. Logsdon served in the Navy from 1946 to 1966 as a chief electrician. After retiring from the Navy, he became a union electrician for Local 226, Topeka.
He was a member of Blue Lodge, Tonganoxie, Scottish Rite, Lawrence, and Abdallah Shrine and Abdallah Mounted Patrol Unit, Overland Park. He was also a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9271, Tonganoxie, and the American Legion, Lawrence.
His wife, Ellyn (Sefton) Logsdon, and a son, Nicholas, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Floyd (Carol), Linwood; a daughter Heather Wellman (Roy), Solomon; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers; three sisters, and his beloved dog, Nell.
Mr. Logsdon also had three children from a previous marriage.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs.
The family suggests memorials to the Abdallah Shrine Crippled Children Transportation Fund, sent in care of the funeral home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.
