Thelma Ruth Wilhite 1930 - 2011

Services for Thelma Ruth Wilhite, 81, Spring Hill, formerly of Linwood, will be 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 1, at First Baptist Church of Basehor, 1410 N. 155th St., Basehor, with burial to follow in the Glenwood Cemetery near Basehor.
Mrs. Wilhite died Saturday, May 28, 2011, at the Black Hawk Assisted Living in Spring Hill.
She was born March 21, 1930, in Lock Springs, Mo. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and raising a garden. She was involved in 4-H as a member and as a leader. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Basehor.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Clifford A. Wilhite, in 2001.
She is survived by her seven children, Dennis (Kathi Wilhite), Bonner Springs; Tom (Mylinda) Wilhite, Baldwin; Ruth Ann (Tom) Bigge, Stockton; Mary Sue (Dale) Smith, Wamego; Marcia Zimmerman, Holton; Diana (Paul) Sowers, Spring Hill; and Donna (Mitch) Keck, Stillwell; 23 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
