Lois Lee

Lois Lee was born March 22, 1928, in rural Graham County, KS. She was the fourth of nine children born to A.W. and Gladys Meyer. After graduating from Hill City High School, Lois attended secretarial school in Salina before moving to Kansas City, KS. She married George R. Lee on April 21, 1947. They had two children, George Jr. and Joyce. Lois was a Camp Fire Girls leader and youth leader for Bethel Community of Christ. Lois retired from U.A.W. Local 31. Lois and George moved to McLouth, KS, in 1988. In retirement, Lois volunteered at the Good Samaritan Thrift Store, Leavenworth County Hospice, and Tonganoxie Community of Christ. George and Lois traveled extensively, visiting every state in the U.S. and 12 other countries. Her grandchildren, Kristine and Michael, were her heart's delight. Lois leaves behind Joyce and Ken Shipley, grandchildren,
Kristine (Kyle) and Michael, sisters, Betty Lang and Dorlea Jenkins, sisters-in-law, Maxine Lee, Jan Meyer and Lucille Meyer, family, extended family, chosen family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 29th, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3223 N. 18th St. Kansas City, KS.
