Linda Ann Wilson Davis 1948 - 2016 Lawrence, KS
Linda Ann Wilson Davis, 68, of Lawrence, died at 3:55pm, Thursday, September 15th, 2016 at The Saint Luke's Hospice House on Summit Road KCMO. She was born January 15, 1948 in Lawrence, Kansas, to Loyd and Colleen Wilson of Topeka Kansas.
Surviving are her son Von Freeman and wife Amy, and her daughter Lori Freeman Hermreck and husband Lyle. Also surviving are her two grandchildren, Michelle Swift and husband Tyler and Chase Freeman. Linda's three great grandchildren that she adored, Luca, Harlo and Beckham Swift. Her two sisters, Lynn Schultz, Penny Tuckel, Penny's husband Russell Tuckel, nieces Elizabeth Tuckel and Callie Castro.
Her father and mother, Loyd and Colleen Wilson preceded her in death.
Linda was a long time resident of Lawrence Kansas where she lived with her parents above the 2nd street location of Johnny's Tavern. She was proud that Johnny from Johnny's Tavern was her Uncle Johnny and that the Wilson family owned the Minneapolis Moline tractor dealership in the same building. In high school, her parents then moved to a farm in Tonganoxie which is where she went on to raise her two children. Linda worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital off and on since 1985 as a Surgical Technician. She was born and retired in 2015 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She loved to go to the movies and travel with her friends Mercedes Wileman and Eleanor Vestal. In fact, she loved watching the Oscars every year and predicted the winning movies and she was usually right.
A service will be held at the United Methodist Church in Tonganoxie Kansas Saturday October 22nd at 11am. A luncheon will follow in the church cafeteria. Then a celebration of Linda's life will follow at Johnny's Tavern in North Lawrence.
