It's awful that our economy has gotten so bad that we have to resort to these kinds of critical cuts. It just makes everything more stressful for everyone. Hopefully, all of these cuts pay off in the end.

The proposed cuts to education will be harmful to the students of Eudora. Programs could be cut and class sizes could increase. In the end, that's not good for our kids

What is your reaction to the various proposed financial cuts to public education?
NIMBY - simply translated means Not In My Back Yard.
Everyone wants to control government spending but they don't want it to have any impact on them. Schools don't want education cut, seniors don't want medicare and social security cut, left leaners don't want to cut social handouts, right leaners don't want to give up tax cuts, but EVERYONE wants something done.
Something has to be cut and I think we should cut what we send to Washington DC to educate kids in Tonganoxie, Eudora, Basehor, etc. so it can be spent locally.
