“No, not exactly. I try not to drink or eat after anyone and I try to not hang around people who think they are sick. I work at a daycare, so I’m always a little extra cautious about whatever disease is going around.”

“We’ve been carrying around a bottle of that Purell with us. We’ve been to the hospital often this last week. We figured that was a pretty good idea to sanitize now and then.”

“No, I already try to wash my hands fairly frequently. We were at church the other day, where the pastor told the congregation it was optional, because of the swine flu threat, to give a sign of peace or receive communion, but we did them anyway.”

Let's put this in perspective, shall we?

Per the CDC, 36,000 people die from regular flu in this nation per year. Compare that to a couple of confirmed deaths from this swine flu.

People flock to get masks due to this "immense threat" potential yet millions have AIDS and still do not wear condoms. Can we say it together, class? We are a nation of morons who knee-jerk to whatever the alarmist, ratings starved media says.

From Reuters WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A 23-month-old child has died in Texas from the new H1N1 swine flu, becoming the first death in the United States from the virus, a U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention official said on Wednesday.

A Houston health official said the child was a Mexican who traveled to the city for medical treatment.

Why do we not screen people entering this country a bit more? Am I just not being sensitive? Or perhaps I'm being "racisit" or maybe I'm just a hater.

No, I don't hate, and I'm not a racist. I'm a realist. We are borrowing $.48 (some say $.50) for every dollar spent at the federal level and give anybody and everybody that comes here free health care, aid to dependent children, food stamps etc.

Closing the borders to anybody that has an infectious disease make sense, but we all know if it makes sense Washington ignores.
