How do you feel about the speed humps that have been constructed near Tonganoxie Elementary School?

Brady Field ( in Tonganoxie) says...

“I don’t understand why they are there. The speed limit is slow enough as it is, so there really is no need for them. Also, I never thought that there was a problem with people speeding in that area. All the speed humps are doing is being an annoyance to the people that drive in that area regularly.”

“I try to avoid the elementary school at certain times. It’s packed. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to have them. I think if it slows people down with kids around, I think that’s a good thing.”

Robin Jones ( in Tonganoxie) says...

“I discovered them the first time when going too fast. When my head hit the ceiling of the car, it knocked some sense into me to slow down. I think they’re a great idea.”

The new speed humps are obnoxious. I always obey the speed limit through there. Now I get a severe jar when I drive through within the speed limit posted. I cannot even drive the speed limit. What was the point again? There is crossing guard and usually a cop near-by handing out tickets. I vote for them to be taken out!

Speed bumps are one thing...these are hills. I pity the poor guy who attempts to drive over these things in a sports car. They could end up high-centered.

Any, mymonkey...I believe I get the gist of your comment. Sorry to say it takes a lifetime of indoctrination before a person leaves sense behind and adopts a liberal mindset.

The sidewalks will be great..........the speed mountains are annoying! I assume they were a package deal through the grant because I would hate to think anyone associated with our schools made the decision to build the humps. The bigger problem is parents dropping off children at the elementary school and stopping in the middle of 5th Street. That's a real traffic hazard.

Jason, please refrain from thinking everyone who disagrees has been indroctrinated. What a laugh and what a joke you are. I only check this every once in a while but you are over the place. Get a life.... and try to smile and understand a little humor. The speed bumps are annoying to the fools who drive like crazy. Drive twenty and its a little extra entertainment. For those I see, I hope a front end alignment is in their future.
