Are there any television shows you're eager to watch as new seasons are kicking off this month?

“I think that the show ‘The Good Wife’ sounds interesting. Of course, it’s football season, so that’s all I care about right now. And I’m excited for ‘The Mentalist’ to come back on. I think he’s intersting and fun to watch and makes me laugh. But that’s about it really.”

“Yes. I watch one series, ‘24.’ The new season doesn't start until January, though, so it's going to be hard to wait that long.”

Austin ( in Baragary) says...

“As a huge fan of comedy, I'm very eager to watch ‘The Office,’ ‘30 Rock’ and ‘Saturday Night Live.’ I always love this time of year, when we get to find out how those cliffhanger endings turned out and sample all the new fare the networks have to offer.”

Network TV is for mind-numbed, drooling acolytes. Seriously, there is nothing on TV more decadent and insulting to the intelligence of people than the junk that CBS, ABC, and NBC pumps into living rooms nightly.

I only watch the History Channel, Discovery, and National Geographic channel. If I'm going to watch television, I at least want to get something out of it that will grow my knowledge of the world around me and people who have lived before. Reality is much better than fiction and I don't have to have some gay dude's lifestyle choices forced on me as a plot twist in some sick sitcom or have to watch the promiscuous lifestyle of the Desperate Housewives.

Network television is nothing but voyeurism into the lives of lost people.
