Summer means plenty of road construction projects. Have any of the area construction projects been a major hindrance to you?

“The ‘Orange Cone’ season has not seriously affected my travel this year. The just-started U.S. Highway 24-40 repaving project may change that. Fortunately, my work schedule allows me to travel during off-peak times, so I am optimistic that I can sneak through with minimal delay.”

“Ugh. Yes. The one on Fourth Street in town has been frustrating — mostly because I keep forgetting it's there and have to turn around. I normally drive that route every day. The construction zone between Tonganoxie and Lawrence is a bummer, too. It is just a fact that summertime and construction go together. It will be nice once the projects are completed and we have nicer roads.”

“Construction has not been too much of a problem for me this summer. I honestly have not been doing too much besides working. I have been swamped with work.”
