“The only thing I really remember happening was it damaging the elementary school and the church, which wasn't too far away from my house. And it also ripped a tree out of the ground from my backyard.”

“I looked at my husband and thought, ‘this is for real.’ We took cover in the basement and could hear things getting blown around outside. We tried to be calm so we wouldn't scare our 7-year-old daughter. We had many downed limbs and were out of power for a few days, but it could've been much worse.”
