“Hearing that this is the end is great, but actually seeing that all of our troops are home safe and done so in a timely manner is the reality I think we will all be waiting on. No matter what is being done now, we still have to consider the lives lost over the past several years and that can never be changed. Thank you, troops, for making us all safe.”

“I am glad that combat is technically over and happy for the military families that will be reunited. I just hope the job is done and that those who have sacrificed over the last 7 years did not do so in vain.”

“His decision to pull combat troops out of Iraq makes a lot more sense than leaving them there. Years of costly war, which accomplished little, was a waste. Not only should we pull out our combat troops, we should pull out of Iraq entirely, including our non-combat troops. True democracy hasn't taken hold in Iraq, and because of extreme terrorism there, I don't believe it ever will. Civil war is bound to break out, whether we are there or not. So, I'll hang up my pride and agree with Obama on this one.”
