Chieftain boys track members celebrate their league championship Thursday at Santa Fe Trail near Carbondale. Tonganoxie won the Kaw Valley League title with 110 points. Mill Valley was second with 97, while Perry-Lecompton and Lansing tied for third with 97 each. It was Tonganoxie's first league win since 1997. Mill Valley won the girls meet, while THS took second. Both Tonganoxie teams will compete in a home 4A regional Friday.
The wooden dolls were manufactured by the Schoenhut Company, located in Philadelphia. During the early 1900s it was said to be one of the largest toy companies in the United States.
