Michael Mast, 10, Tonganoxie, dresses as his version of Uncle Sam to help promote the sale of fireworks at Sacred Heart Church, 1100 West Street. Mast fashioned a patriotic windsock and a mask (which he said was not a Santa Claus likeness) into a costume that got the attention of many drivers on U.S. 24-40 Thursday afternoon as Mast danced and waved.
