Running back Ian McClellan heads up the sideline for Tonganoxie High at Lansing on Friday. McClellan’s 44 rushing yards against LHS led the Chieftains in a 42-24 loss, the team’s fifth consecutive setback.

Tough loss has tasty tidbits for THS football
Seeing as how it’s what’s between two pieces of bread that make a sandwich tasty, members of the Tonganoxie High football team couldn’t help salivating a little about the meat and toppings that made up a 42-24 road loss.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
