The Tonganoxie High School campus will be getting a sizable upgrade. Today’s mail-in election results are in and the “yes” votes won by 93 votes, 1,759-1,666. Voters approved the $51.4 million mail-in bond issue with 51.3 percent of the vote, according to the county clerk’s office.

Tonganoxie USD 464 will be offering informational meetings about the proposed $51.4 million bond issue that would fund an overhaul of the Tonganoxie High School campus. Stephanie Meyer with DLR Group spoke to the school board at Monday’s regular meeting about some plans for meetings and tours at THS for patrons, along with a series of mailers to educate the public on the proposed project.
The timeline for a mail-in ballot has been set for a proposed $51.4 million bond issue that would substantially upgrade the current Tonganoxie High School campus. The final step before that is final approval from the State Board of Education to move forward, which is expected early next week.
