Nikki Beach speaks during Monday's special Tonganoxie USD 464 board meeting at the Tonganoxie Elementary School library. Some 60 student-athletes, parents, coaches, teachers, administrators and other patrons were on hand for the meeting. Beach, whose son is on the THS basketball team, spoke in favor of the school allowing extra-curricular activities to resume.

Tonganoxie USD 464 moving forward with winter extracurriculars
Tonganoxie USD 464 will allow some in-person extracurricular activities, most notably winter sports, the school board decided during a lengthy special meeting Monday in front of more than 60 attendees. Many in the crowd were student-athletes and parents, along with some teachers and building administrators.
