Kayla Beggs, the just recently crowned prom queen, takes advantage of one of the last slow dances of the night at this year's Tonganoxie High School prom. For more photos from prom, which was held Saturday at Fort Leavenworth.
This year's 2008 royal court was comprised of, from upper left, Christy Weller, Liz Baska, Kayla Beggs, Michelle Lindsey and Tracie Hileman. Bottome left, Matt Ditty, Gabe Belobrajdic, Justin Moss,, Wesley Armstrong and Cameron Adcox.
This year's prom king and queen were Justin Moss and Kayla Beggs.
Many of the girls at prom decided to take it easy on their feet while dancing by taking off their dress shoes.
Sheldon Barton and Dakotah Renelle Roberts dance together closely during some of the songs.
The Tonganoxie High School class of 2008 celebrates its last prom Saturday at Fort Leavenworth. Mirror reporter/photographer Estuardo Garcia was on hand at prom, but he also joined a group of THS students throughout the day in preparation for Saturday's big night.
