Tonganoxie Middle School celebrates accomplishments, grant

The Tonganoxie Middle School gymnasium was a hub of activity Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, as an assembly recognized the school’s distinction as a National Middle School of the Year finalist by the National Association of MIddle School Administrators. The organization also recognized Tonganoxie as an Exemplary Kansas Middle School and a Gold Level High Performing Middle School. The school also was given more than $2,000 in grants from Sam’s Club. And during the assembly, the TMS band played and cheerleaders performed. Students also were treated to a performance by Nashville recording artist and THS graduate Joey Glenn.
