The fourth quarter took eight minutes on Friday night, literally, which was a good thing for the Tonganoxie girls basketball team. It was a sign of how well the last eight minutes had gone.
Nash’s goals propel Jaguars past Piper

Mill Valley soccer player Spencer Nash took Monday’s game over in the second period. Nash scored a pair of goals and led Mill Valley to a 3-1 win over Piper. The victory was a pivotal win for the Jaguars, as Piper is ranked No. 4 in the state in Class 4A. Both of Nash’s goals came in the second period, with the score at 0-0 at intermission. In the period, both teams had chances to score early, but couldn’t capitalize on the opportunity. Mill Valley scored first when Tyler Miller deflected the ball off the goalie, sending it into the back of the net about 10 minutes into the half.
