I am Devin's Father. First off I'd like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support, thoughts and prayers. It really means alot to us that the community has come together in support of our Son. Several people from the community (some folks he didn't even know) made a point to stop in to visit him while they were in the area. He was especially happy when his teacher, Mrs. Freese came by and shared all the cards made by his classmates and others at the school.

Devin Is home now and although his spirits are down he is doing much better. He went back to Children's Mercy Hospital today for his first outpatient round of chemotherapy. He did very well. He's been through more in the last two weeks than most of us has been through in our entire lives and I truly admire his strength and ability to cope with this as well as he has. He really is a hero in my eyes!

I'd also like to respectfully point out that there are several mistakes in both articles, I won't get into all the details here other than to say that his diagnosis is actually stage 4 Lymphoblastic lymphoma. Here is a link to a site that describes his type of cancer in greater detail.

If anyone has any questions feel free to email me at jst3751@sbcglobal.net , and thank you all again for your overwhelming support
