Congregations rethinking 'church'

BOTH Swaim & Bronson need forgiveness. What they've done to persons and reputations behind the scenes to "protect" their agenda's is not God-led, nor do their actions reflect the awesome forgiving God that born-again saints serve.

Take the millions and serve those who don't have enough to live. Give a little.

Make no mistake, GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED!

Tonganoxie Board of Zoning Appeals find code enforcer right in letter to church

That's a lot of money to spend on a clock and temperature for the community. I think Mr. Bronson will get to play with his "new toy" in the future. It just takes patience.

Church's sign to remain pending appeal

Naive to say that the government doesn't have the "right" to interfere with the practice of our faith. The other businesses who were told this type of sign would not be allowed didn't (with a spirit of arrogance) erect their sign. The first step is get permission. The second step is to erect your sign. "Ass-erting our rights as citizens" does not include the right to break the law and then seek public support to justify our actions. Again, the other business owners didn't break the law. WHB was told NOT to erect the sign.

Church's sign to remain pending appeal

Scripture says, "Do not love the world, neither the things that are in the world. Anyone who loves the world does not love the Father". The flashy sign is not going to "save" anyone, nor is the money spent on the sign going to show those within or outside the church that we, the church, ARE different than the world. Why is it churches feel the need to spend tons of money on a sign, and possibly litigation to have it approved, yet can't find the money to "feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the lonely, and evangelize the unbeliever. The sign's not a big deal, but the attitude behind erecting a sign when told not to bothers me a bit.
